Goesling Group is a full service Interior Design and Remodeling firm specializing in luxury residential design in the city of Chicago, nearby suburbs and beyond. As an integral part of a small firm, our Interior Designers are responsible for carrying out mid-range projects from conception to completion. From site measures to mood boards and product selection to plan development, our Interior Designers are involved every step of the way. With such expansive responsibilities, this role has the potential to greatly impact our company, clientele, and industry as a whole. Every team member contributes to our reputation of quality work and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is an advocate for our mission as much as an accomplished designer.

RESPONSIBILITIES
On Site
Execute job site measures and develop ECDs (existing conditions drawings)
Manage product and material deliveries on an ‘as-needed’ basis
Manage on-site installations in coordination with PM
Oversee job site walk throughs with tradespeople / clients in tandem with PM
Project Preparation
Coordinate with Principal Designer / Creative Director on project scope and design direction Create project specific mood boards
Develop complex design presentations on a per-project basis within the GG brand identity Produce professional CAD drawings, 2D floor plans, furniture layouts, 3D renders, and details Develop permit and construction documents on an as needed basis. Source and specify product and materials, including material samples on a per-project basis Prepare pricing documents for product and material selections in coordination with D.Ops Prepare complex custom product details (ie: custom furniture, cabinetry, stone tops, etc.) and purchase orders to prepare for order execution. Compile and prepare comprehensive spec document for specified product and materials Make necessary adjustments to plan development to align with clients’ feedback
Project Management
Develop detailed plan set for tradespeople to execute on-site
Coordinate project scope and execution with Project Management Team
Client Relations
Participate in design presentations with Principal Designer and client
Handle regular email and phone communication with clients, tradespeople and vendors Seek out and develop relationships with new vendors and material providers
External Communication
Support social media presence to further the GG brand identity
Attend professional design events on behalf of of Team GG
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited school. 4 years of experience in the field, preferably with some background in Kitchen and Bath Design Proficiency in two of the following: Chief Architect, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCad, Proficiency in Adobe Suite
