Lake|Flato Architects seeks a forward-thinking, energetic Interior Designer to join our award-winning,sustainable design practice in our office in Austin and San Antonio, Texas.Ideal candidates will exhibit a commitment to excellencein architectural interiors and furnishings along withdemonstrated experience in architectural interiors projectworkflow. Successful candidates should have 3-6 years ofexperience working collaboratively with creative teams sharingour focus on vibrant, sustainable architecture. Candidatesmust be a self-starter who enjoys collaboration with othertalented designers and being part of team.Job Description:The Intermediate Interior Designer’s focus will be on managing,sourcing, and documenting Interior Design scope. This willinclude, finish selections and specifications, client presentationboards, documentation of all materials with a knowledge ofdetails and specification coordination. All fixture, furniture,and equipment selections along with specifications will bedocumented and coordinated throughout the design processand well into CA. Knowledge of the procurement process willbe required. Projects will range from multiple project typesbut with a focus on Higher Education, STEM, Studio Arts, &Collaborative/Activity Based Work Environments. Candidatesare not required to have extensive experience in these projecttypes, but should showcase a design aptitude with the ability toapply influence to a wide range of user needs in a diverse rangeof regions and context.Position Responsibilities:Collaborate with project teams in the selection, coordination,and documentation of interior architectural finishes• Collaborate with project teams and lead the effortspertaining to the selection, coordination, documentation,and procurement of fixtures, furniture, and equipment(FF&E).• Provide design knowledge on interior lighting &environmental graphic integrated design process’ with thedesign team and manage consultants in this area of design.• Lead in the production of architectural interiors documentsincluding coordination of interior elevations and caseworkdesign strategies in coordination with the FF&E package.• Coordinate FF&E efforts through the design process andmanage delivery and install during the CA phase• Participate in ongoing design discussions on a multitudeof projects to contributed to the dialogue pertaining tointerior design.Required Qualifications:• College degree in Interior Design• Pursuing NCIDQ certification• 3-6 years of demonstrated interiors focused projectexperience.• Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Spexxand MS Office• Ability to sketch and draw by hand• Highly motivated and able to work both self-directed andin interdisciplinary teams in a fast paced and energeticenvironmentPreferred Qualifications: LEED Accreditation or pursuingLEED Accreditation, WELL Accreditation or pursuing WELLaccreditation.Application:Please send a digital copy of your resume and an expandededition of your portfolio in .pdf or .jpg format by e-mail visit our website at for moreinformation on our firm, our culture, and our people.Upon receipt we will review and contact you should yourqualifications meet our staffing needs.Please visit our website at for moreinformation about our firm, our culture and our people.Upon receipt, we will review and contact you should yourqualifications meet our staffing needs.
