Position Overview
The Associate Manager, Designer II supports the full design process from concept through construction, developing high-quality design solutions aligned with Core Spaces’ vision. This role collaborates closely with the Creative Director and internal teams, prepares detailed project documentation and specifications, and helps translate conceptual direction into clear visual and technical outputs. The Designer II also provides guidance to junior team members and ensures project deliverables are completed with accuracy, creativity, and consistency.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to all stages of the design process: Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Administration
- Ability to support, develop, communicate, and present design concepts with the project team and to outside vendors/agencies
- Collaborate with the project architect and other Interior Designers on all aspects of project delivery
- Preparation of elements of project schematic / conceptual designs including: programmatic space plans, floor plans, ceiling plans, elevations, floor finish plans and dimensional sketches required to convey design intent for in-house and client reviews
- Render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation / design drawings
- Prepare FF&E specifications, fixture drawings, custom fabrication, millwork, etc.
- Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
- Participate in meeting with the Creative Director and Various internal teams
- Conduct on-site visits as needed
- Review work of Designer I, Design Assistants, and Interns
- Execute project deliverables within timeline as set by Design Manager and Senior Project Manager
- Generate design iterations aligned with Visionary direction
- Edit space plans to meet programmatic needs
- Create hand sketches for quick communication of design ideas
- Interpret conceptual designs into 3D models via SketchUp and Enscape
- Maintain Bluebeam sessions and communicate effectively internally and externally
- Redline renderings and models to align with design concepts
- Experience in developing time management and organizational skills required to undertake multiple projects or facets of various projects; multi-tasking
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to see the bigger picture and participate in a team to achieve the goal
- Motivated to both meet and exceed goals in a self-directed way; work hard with limited supervision
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and commitments and be consistently on schedule
- Collaborate with technical team to resolve design questions
- Occasional travel may be necessary as needed
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of this role with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ideally, You'll Have
- Degree in Interior Design from an accredited university
- 7+ years interior design work experience—hospitality required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, InDesign; Enscape and Illustrator a plus; as week as Microsoft office suite
- Experience sourcing architectural materials/finishes and FF&E
- Experience in all phases of design from concept through construction administration
- Construction drawing, documentation, and oversight experience
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent graphics and visualization skills to express your ideas
- Experience in workplace and/or hospitality design.
- Commitment to sustainable design practices, with experience in projects holding certifications like LEED, WELL, or Net Zero Building.

Pay RangeUSD $80,000.00 - USD $105,000.00 /Yr.Additional CompensationEmployees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, typically 15% of base salary annually, depending on individual and organizational performance.Compensation Disclosure
